Antique French Yellow Opaline Urn with Ormolu Rim

A footed French opaline urn in a soft, buttery yellow, finished with a beaded gilt ormolu rim. Yellow is one of the harder opaline colors to find, and the flared mouth and rounded body are typical of what French makers were doing in the 19th century. The stamped ormolu at the top is the period detail to look for. It's pretty on its own and even better candled.
